Following their disappointing exit from the Premiership Cup the previous Saturday, Brecon travelled to Bargoed seeking to restore some momentum in the League. This was never going to be an easy task as they lined up against a Bargoed team whose record to date included just one league defeat at Pontypridd, an impressive win at Merthyr and a Cup defeat at Pontypridd, the previous Saturday, where they lost by a single point at the last kick of the game. Disappointingly Brecon returned home empty handed after suffering a 31 points to 14 defeat. That score, however, did not truly reflect the comp.....
